Day ONE Thursday 16th July 2015—RA Symposium

This meeting is a joint venture between the Royal College of Anaesthetists (RCoA) and the London Society of Regional Anaesthesia (LSORA). The joint meeting aims to attract all budding and more experienced regional anaesthetists.

The symposium will be a series of exciting lectures provided by world experts.

Topics covered include:

  • Latest blocks in regional anaesthesia including adductor canal and PECS
  • Education in regional anaesthesia, how to achieve it and where are we now?
  • Future technologies. New catheters and new drugs
  • What should we measure? Outcomes in regional anaesthesia

Day TWO Friday 17th July 2015—RA Workshop

The workshop will be hands-on scanning with expert faculty. (Places for the workshop will be limited to ensure maximum exposure for candidates).

Candidates will be asked skill level and streamlined into appropriate groups. There will be plenty of opportunity to discuss novel blocks with international experts during the stations and more comprehensively during the ‘Ask the Experts’ session.

During the day, there will be parallel needle scanning stations using blue phantoms. Each group will comprise of 4 candidates to enhance the learning experience.
